Summer Stars Events at Miltown Malbay Library
Summer Stars activities are ongoing over the Summer months for children at Miltown Malbay library. On Wednesday 22nd July at 11.00am we have the RSA with a special storytime based around road safety for 3 – 6 years olds called Simon & Friends. Saturday 25th July author Roisin Meaney will host her storytime at 11.00am for children 3 – 6 years. From Pawn to King with Red King Chess will host their popular chess workshop for 7 – 12 year on Thursday 30th July from 1.00 pm – 2.30pm and booking is essential. Participants will learn the etiquette of chess and the rules of all the pieces. Moving on to Friday August 7th at 10.30am author Sue Doyle will host a creative reading and storytelling workshop exploring how books are imagined, written and illustrated. Children will discuss their favourite books in the library and then create their own mini storybooks using drawing and collage, inspired by the books around them. Suitable for 4 – 7 yrs and booking is essential. Our final Summer Stars storytime will take place on Saturday 22nd August with Roisin Meaney at 11.00am.
