Fr Seanie Murphy was born in Quin in 1951 and went to school in Quin N.S.and St Flannan’s College, Ennis. He studied for the Priesthood in Maynooth between 1969 and 1978 when he was ordained. His first appointment was as Curate to Mullagh parish 1978-1981. He did graduate studies in Maynooth from 1981 until 1983. Then he spent seven years, 1983 until 1990, as Curate in Shannon. He has been in Miltown Malbay since 1990 – as Curate until 2004 and following that as Parish Priest. Fr. Seanie is now retired as priest in residence in the parish.

Canon Seamus Mullin was born in Kilrush in 1931. He attended school in the Mercy Convent and C.B.S.Kilrush and then was a Boarder in St Flannan`s college until1949 before going to Maynooth where he was ordained in 1956. He attended University College, Galway and taught in St Mary`s College, Galway, before returning to his Alma Mater as a member of the Teaching Staff until 1982-being President 1974-1982. He served as Administrator in St Joseph`s, Ennis until 1989 when he was appointed P.P. Miltown Malbay. In 1993 he was appointed Canon of the Cathedral Chapter in the Diocese. He retired as P.P. in 2004 to reside in the Parish as A.P. Canon Seamus is now retired as Priest in Residence in the parish.
