Mother Teresa said:

is the terrible indifference towards one’s neighbour,
which is so widespread.’
Lord, save us from the scourge of indifference.
Open our hearts when they are closed,
soften them when they are hard,
and warm them when they are cold,
so that we may listen to the cries of the needy,
and bear the fruits of love.
