To the God of Mystery,
whom I see dimly in flickering stars,
whose heartbeat I hear in the roaring seas,
whose presence I sense in the spring and winter air,
you are behind all, you support all,
we have belief, help our unbelief.
To the God of justice and fairness,
our loving Father who watches over us,
whose challenge I feel in the choices I make,
who reminds me to love when I feel drawn to hate,
who teaches me the way that will lead to life, help me
to have no fear but to know that you loved us first.
To the God of care and compassion,
who holds each one of us close like a mother, a child,
whose hand I hold each step of the way,
to whom I unburden myself in times of stress,
who is always there in each passing second,
come closer still; make your home in me.
To the God of struggle,
who holds the poor and broken ones dear,
who sets prisoners free and gives sight to the blind,
who is still creating this world in your image
and likeness, work with us and give us strength to work with you, until all our brothers and sisters live in freedom and dignity. Amen
