There are people who think like the Pharisee.
They maintain that the Church is for saints
not sinners.
But that would result in a very small church,
and would make as little sense as a hospital
that accepted only healthy people.
We go to church, not because we think we are saints but because we know we are sinners.
We are humble enough to admit our sinfulness,
but brave enough to strive for something better.
